It can ' t get much easier. At mnmsystems, we prepare your unit with drives installed, format to the appropriate RAID Level, burn test the system for 48hrs prior to shipping. When you get your system you simply plug in, install the RAIDar setup utility, and you are ready to go. This is only applicable to orders placed for pre-installed drives. Not applicable to diskless system orders.

X-RAID Automatic Volume Expansion
With Infrant's own X-RAID™ technology, users with no prior knowledge of RAID can expand their RAID volume without ever reading a thick manual. Simply plug a new disk in, and the automatic volume expansion takes over, securing your data while the expansion takes place.

Standard RAID levels 0, 1, and 5
If you prefer the flexibility of advanced RAID configuration, the ReadyNAS NV can switch personality without a beat. It's equivalent to switching between a ReadyNAS X6 and a ReadyNAS 600 on the fly.

Real Hotswap
Some RAID enclosures may look like they support hot-swap, but looks can be deceiving. The ReadyNAS NV supports true hotswap. If a disk dies, simply pull it out and replace it with a new disk without ever needing to power-off the device. Imagine not having any downtime in your office environment.

Keep Your Data Safe
With RAID, your data can withstand a disk failure. With intruders, they can take your NAS, and all your data is lost. The NV comes with lockable disk trays, so you can keep the drives glued to the unit. On the back is a security slot where you can attach a Kensington cable lock. There's no way to protect your valuables from the sophisticated thieves, but someone who sees a locked NV will probably opt for something else that's not locked.

The Backup Button
New with the ReadyNAS NV is the Backup Button on the front, conveniently located next to the front USB port. Simply connect a USB storage device to the port and press the button, and all your data in your backup share on the ReadyNAS gets backed up to the USB device. It's as simple as that. Now if you want your USB device backed up to the ReadyNAS instead, simply change the source and destination in the FrontView Backup menu. The integrated Backup Manager allows you to set up even more sophisticated network backups that you can schedule or be invoked with the press of the Backup Button.

The ReadyNAS NV fits your office needs like a glove. But take it home, and it becomes the center of your entertainment center. Equipped with Gigabit Ethernet with jumbo frames support, you can be sure that multiple HD streams will play off the NV with no problems.
